Permanent Full-Time State Integrated Catholic Tumuaki/Principal – U5

Education Gazette: http://edgaz.nz/1HAiCj

Closes: 1pm, 20th September 2024

At St Joseph’s School, Nelson, we believe that to develop fully in society, each of us needs to have a genuine belief in his/her own self-worth, based on our faith. We provide the environment to nurture thinking, caring and hard-working students, who know they can make a difference based on these values.

Our teachers, whanau, parish and community work together to achieve the best for our children. May God bless our endeavours so that our vision, “that we may have life and have it to the full”; (based on John 10:10) may come to fruition.

We seek an experienced and dynamic Catholic faith leader to join us as our new principal, starting term 1, 2025. We are seeking someone who will partner with the Board to realise the school’s strategic vision.

Our new principal:

  • Faith-filled, embodies Gospel values and will uphold and enhance our Catholic identity

  • Actively involved in school and Parish life

  • An experienced leader with a track record of mentoring the next leaders

  • Innovative and skilled in curriculum design and implementation

  • Leads engaging and inspiring teacher-learning

  • Exceptionally relational, committed to every learner reaching their full potential

  • Collaborative decision maker within the kura and wider community

  • Approachable, warm, sharing and caring

If you are an energetic, exceptional educational leader, ready to make a difference to the wellbeing, learning and success of our ākonga, then we encourage you to apply.

We have an active PTA and highly engaged board. Our talented and committed team of staff are ready to work with you.
